Rhythms of Volution The energy of the Spiral Series is defined by a single line moving simultaneously in opposing directions, coming from and returning to its source. The energy is focused through the dynamic power of repetition to become motionless movement. The hypnotic effect of the repetitive continuity of rhythmically arranged elements leads to thoughts of infinity. The spiral and its variations are the heart of my work. These vessels celebrate containment and a centering of energy. There are meditative roles in the creation as well as the contemplation of these pieces. |
